Single-vehicle crash in Mendon leads to charges

MENDON — A 21-year-old man from Woodstock was cited following a crash with injuries in Mendon on Saturday.

The single-vehicle crash took place on US Route 4, near Wheelerville Road, at around 4:45 p.m.

According to the report, police found that Micah Lockhart was driving in a negligent manner resulting in him crashing the vehicle.

Lockhart was traveling east on US Route 4 and exited on the right side of the road.

He was transported to Rutland Regional Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

He was processed for driving under the influence at Rutland Regional Medical Center.

He was issued a citation to appear in court for January 30 to answer the charges of DUI, and negligent operation.

State Police were assisted on the scene by the Rutland City Fire Department and Regional Ambulance Service.
