Trick-or-treater injured after being hit by car in Barre

BARRE — An 11-year-old was injured in Barre on Halloween.

Police say the child sustained minor injuries after being hit by a vehicle.

According to the report, the juvenile had been trick-or-treating in the downtown area with his family and was crossing Seminary Street at the intersection of North Main Street prior to the incident.

The driver was turning onto Seminary Street when he struck the juvenile at low speed.

The juvenile was transported to Central Vermont Medical Center for precautionary measures.

Police say they are still investigating the crash.
