BURLINGTON — Affidavits have been filed with the court charging Abdiaziz Abdhikadir, 19, with 1st-degree murder for the killing of 21-year-old Hussein Mubarak.
Mubarak was shot in the head and killed on Luck Street, near Roosevelt Park, on July 7, 2022.
Abdhikadir was also charged with eight counts of attempted murder and possession of a weapon in the commission of a felony for shooting into the Mubarak residence on February 12, 2022.
At that time, there were six children and two adults in the apartment into which Abdhikadir allegedly fired shots.
Abdhikadir is currently incarcerated at Northwest Correctional Facility on unrelated charges.
