Crash with injuries in Waterbury

WATERBURY — A 69-year-old man from Bolton was involved in a crash in Waterbury yesterday.

The incident took place on Waterbury Stowe Road at around 2:10 p.m.

Police say that Ronald Ryan crossed the center line and collided with a bicycle and rack attached to the rear of a vehicle.

He then struck Kristi McAllister, 45, of Morrisville.

Police say both drivers were transported to the University of Vermont Medical Center for treatment.

The occupants of the third vehicle were not injured.

Traffic on Waterbury Stowe Road was delayed for approximately 1.5 hours while crews worked to clear the scene.

Ryan was cited to appear in court for the offense of negligent operation.
