Two-vehicle crash in Bolton

BOLTON — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Bolton yesterday.

The crash occurred on Route 2 and Notch Road around 1:00 p.m.

Troopers located one vehicle at a position of controlled rest in the lane of traffic facing west and a second at a position of uncontrolled rest in the same lane of traffic facing the same direction.

According to the report, Michael Petersen, 55, of Essex, had slammed his brakes because another vehicle in front of him had braked while traveling west on Route 2.

Brittany Degree, 36, of Huntington, rear-ended him due to the abrupt slamming of his brakes.

Degree sustained no serious injuries, police say.

Petersen’s vehicle was towed from the scene.

Richmond Fire Department assisted police at the scene
