Man arrested at Marlboro B&B

MARLBORO — A man was arrested following an incident in Marlboro yesterday.

Troopers from the Vermont State Police Westminster Barracks were dispatched to a possible fight at a bed and breakfast on Staver Road at around 1:00 a.m.

Police allege that Lourens Fourie, 30, of Massachusetts, assaulted someone with a weapon and damaged property.

Fourie was placed under arrest and transported to the Westminster Barracks for processing and released on a citation to appear in Vermont Superior Court.

He faces charges of aggravated assault and unlawful mischief.
