Police: Vehicle stolen, crashed in Brownington

BROWNINGTON — Police are investigating after a vehicle was reported stolen in Brownington.

On August 27, authorities were notified by Kimberly Gagliola, 33, of Charleston, that her vehicle was stolen.

Gagliola told police that the truck, a black 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500, was taken from a home on Schoolhouse Road.

The truck crashed into a tree on the same property, and the driver fled.

Police say the truck sustained major damage to the body and frame.

The driver of the vehicle is currently unknown.
