Fatal crash on Vermont Route 105 in Berkshire

BERKSHIRE — A 23-year-old man from Enosburg was killed following a crash in Berkshire on Friday.

The crash took place on Vermont Route 105, near the entrance to the Pine Cone Snack Bar, at around 5:30 p.m.

According to the report, a Kawasaki motorcycle driven by Andrew Ward, 23, of Enosburg, was traveling west.

At the same time, a Chevrolet Equinox, driven by Kevin Donna, 66, of Franklin, was attempting to turn left into the Pine Cone Snack Bar.

The motorcycle collided with the passenger side of the car.

Ward was deceased upon the arrival of first responders.

The driver, Donna, and two other occupants of the car were transported to Northwestern Medical Center for non-life-threatening injuries.

Shortly after the vehicles crashed, they caught fire.

State Police was assisted on the scene by the Department of Motor Vehicles Enforcement Division, Berkshire Fire Department, Enosburg Fire Department, Enosburg Rescue, Richford Rescue, and Cota’s Wrecker Service.
