Motorcyclist injured during crash in Ferrisburgh

FERRISBURGH — A 52-year-old man from Waltham was involved in a single-vehicle crash in Ferrisburgh yesterday.

The crash took place on Sand Road at around 4:50 p.m.

The driver was identified as Wight Manning.

According to the report, Manning was traveling south on Sand Road before leaving the southbound lane at a curve in the road.

Manning was ejected from his motorcycle and transported to UVM Medical Center with suspected broken bones.

Following an investigation, police say that Manning was operating without an ignition interlock device as he was required by law to use.

He was issued a citation to appear in court at a later date.
