Vermont Route 22A closed for 6 hours after crash Addison

ADDISON — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Addison on Monday.

The crash took place on Vermont Route 22A at around 4:00 a.m.

According to the report, Rene Aquino, 59 of Clifton, New Jersey, was headed south when he rear-ended another tractor-trailer.

The second vehicle was driven by Jared Forand, 22, of Starksboro.

Aquino’s vehicle sustained extensive contact damage to the front of the vehicle and blocked both the north and southbound lanes.

Vermont Route 22A was closed for approximately 6 hours while crews worked to clear the road.

State Police were assisted at the scene by the Department of Motor Vehicles and Addison Fire Department.
