Vehicle rolls, crashes into home in Rutland

RUTLAND — Police are looking for the driver who fled the scene of a crash in Rutland yesterday.

Police say they spotted a vehicle committing a violation on Lafayette Street at around 12:25 a.m.

Police say that while attempting to catch up to the vehicle, it crashed.

According to the report, the vehicle was traveling eastbound on Terrill Street attempting to turn left onto Lafayette Street when it overturned, left the road, and hit the front porch of a home.

Police say the driver fled the scene on foot prior to their arrival.
