Two-vehicle crash in New Haven knocks down telephone pole

NEW HAVEN — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in New Haven yesterday.

The crash took place on US Route 7 at the intersection with Lime Kiln Road, at around 5:40 p.m.

According to the report, Shelby Hallock, of Burlington, was headed north on US Route 7, and Eric Heller, of Monkton, was traveling south on Lime Kiln Road prior to the crash.

Police say Hallock turned right onto Lime Kiln Road and hit a telephone pole before returning to the roadway and striking Heller head-on.

Both vehicles were totaled, and the telephone pole was knocked over.

Hallock was injured during the crash.

US Route 7 in the area of this crash was reduced to one lane for just over one hour.
