DUI crash in Killington causes power outage

KILLINGTON — A juvenile was arrested for DUI following a crash in Killington yesterday.

The single-vehicle crash into a power pole took place on Killington Road at around 2:00 a.m.

Police say the driver of the vehicle was uninjured in the crash.

The crash caused a significant power outage in the area.

During the investigation, police say they observed several indicators of impairment.

He was taken into custody for driving under the influence and transported to the State Police barracks in Rutland for processing.

After processing, the juvenile was released to a sober party.

Troopers were assisted by the Killington Fire Department, Regional Ambulance Service, and Green Mountain Power.
