MONDAY 03-14-22

  • Conducted Patrols in 12 towns. Traffic stops were conducted for motor vehicle violations with warnings and/ or tickets issued.
  • Community Outreach — Middlebury — Provided space for 2 supervised visits for Women Safe.
  • Animal Problem — Starksboro — While on patrol on Route 116, a deputy observed a dog running in the roadway. With the help of another driver, the dog was caught and returned to its owner.

TUESDAY 03-15-22

  • Conducted Patrols in 11 towns. Traffic stops were conducted for motor vehicle violations with warnings and/ or tickets issued.

WEDNESDAY 03-16-22

  • Conducted Patrols in 11 towns. Traffic stops were conducted for motor vehicle violations with warnings and/ or tickets issued.
  • Trespass Notice — New Haven —Attempted to locate an individual to serve a No Trespass Order at the request of a property owner.
  • Motor Vehicle Crash — New Haven —A deputy assisted the Vermont State Police by responding to the report of a motor vehicle crash at the junction of Route 7 and Route 17. Due to faulty railroad signals, traffic was backed up and 2 vehicles collided resulting in minor damage and no injuries. The New Haven Fire Department responded to help with the cleanup due to leaking fluids and to evaluate the operators.

THURSDAY 03-17-22

  • Conducted Patrols in 8 towns. Traffic stops were conducted for motor vehicle violations with warnings and/ or tickets issued.
  • Solid Waste Complaint (Dumping) — Panton —A resident discovered trash dumped on Slang Rd. In the trash was information a deputy was able to use to find who dumped the garbage. That individual was contacted and the trash was properly disposed of.

FRIDAY 03-18-22

  • Conducted Patrols in 8 towns. Traffic stops were conducted for motor vehicle violations with warnings and/ or tickets issued.
  • VIN Verification — Salisbury — Provided a VIN verification for a resident. We provide this service for free to any Addison County resident, so please call us at (802) 388-2981 to have a deputy come by if you need this done.

MONDAY – FRIDAY

  • Provided security at the Malady Courthouse in Middlebury. This includes screening visitors as they enter the Courthouse and security in the Courtroom during hearings.
  • Several deputies served paperwork for Civil Process.
  • 2 Recruits attended the Level 2 (Part- Time) Academy in Pittsford.
