Williamstown man cited for possession of cocaine in Barre

BARRE — A 61-year-old man from Williamstown was arrested following an incident in Barre on Friday.

Police say they executed a traffic stop on a blue Saab on Prospect Street for a moving and registration violations at around 11:00 p.m.

During the course of the stop, police say they observed drug paraphernalia in plain view.

Following a search of the vehicle and the driver, police say a felony amount of crack-cocaine was located.

Police say the man was processed at Barre City Police Department and cited into court for March 24 for the offense of possession of cocaine.

At this time police have not released the name of the suspect.
