READSBORO — A 56-year-old man was charged with simple assault following an incident in Readsboro today.
Authorities say they were notified of an assault incident located on Smith Drive at around 9:10 a.m.
Police allege that Philip A. King, of Readsboro, had purposely and knowingly caused bodily injury to a 28-year-old man.
The victim was also a resident of Readsboro.
King was released with a citation to appear in court at a later date and time to answer the charge.
