CORNWALL — A 56-year-old man from New York was arrested for DUI following an incident in Cornwall yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified of a truck that had crashed into a tree on Lemon Fair Road at around 4:50 p.m.

The caller also told police that the driver was possibly impaired.

During the investigation, police allege Christopher Bazan, of Ticonderoga, NY, displayed signs of impairment.

Bazan was screened and placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.

He was transported to the New Haven barracks for processing, where he refused to provide an evidentiary sample of his breath.

He was released with a citation to appear in court at a later date and time.
