PLAINFIELD — A 52-year-old woman was arrested for DUI drugs following an incident in Plainfield yesterday.
Authorities say they were notified of an erratic driver that resulted in the vehicle getting stuck in a snowbank on Bean Road at around 11:20 a.m.
Police responded to the scene and observed a 2015 Nissan Rogue partially in the snowbank.
Police identified the driver as Melanie Sargent, of Plainfield.
Following an investigation, police allege that Sargent was exhibiting signs of drug impairment.
She was taken into custody for suspicion of DUI Drugs and transported to the State Police barracks in Middlesex for processing.
She was issued a citation to appear in court on March 24 and released.
