Two-vehicle crash with injuries on Vermont Route 9, Woodford

WOODFORD — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash in Woodford yesterday.

The crash took place on Vermont Route 9 at around 11:00 a.m.

According to the report, Justin Horsfield, 39, of Argyle, NY, was operating a 2005 Chevrolet pickup traveling east prior to the crash.

Police say he lost control of his vehicle due to a possible mechanical failure.

The vehicle swerved into the westbound lane with oncoming traffic.

Andzej Wlaz, 52, of Wethersfield, CT, was traveling westbound at the time of the crash.

Wlaz crashed into the driver’s side of the vehicle.

Both vehicles sustained heavy damage during the crash.

Minor injuries were reported by Wlaz, police say.

State police were assisted on scene by Bennington Rescue and the Bennington Rural Fire Department.
