SOUTH BURLINGTON — A 21-year-old man was arrested for DUI following an incident in South Burlington on Saturday.

Police say they were on a specialized DUI patrol on Williston Road at around 12:20 a.m.

During this patrol, police say they observed a vehicle traveling at 91 miles-per-hour on Interstate 89 northbound.

The high speed continued into the 55 miles-per-hour “safety corridor.”

As a result of the motor vehicle stop and observations made during the investigation, police allege that the driver, Patrick Maley of Burlington, was operating his vehicle while under the influence of drugs.

Maley was placed under arrest for Driving Under the Influence and transported to the Williston Barracks for processing.

At the conclusion of the processing, he was released with a citation to appear in court on April 14 to answer the charge of DUI -Drugs.
