Enosburgh man charged after macing 18-year-old victim

ENOSBURGH — A 46-year-old man was charged with assault following an incident in Enosburgh yesterday.

Authorities were notified of a dispute where a man used mace on another man on Laporte Drive at around 5:15 p.m.

Police say they identified Nathan Clifford, of Enosburgh, and the 18-year-old victim to be the main parties involved when they arrived.

Police say that a short verbal dispute began before Clifford used mace on the victim.

Police allege Clifford knowingly and purposefully caused bodily injury to the victim as a result of the incident.

Enosburgh Rescue responded to assist.

Clifford was issued a citation to appear in court on March 22 to answer the charge.
