Driver charged with DUI after running trooper off road in Richmond

RICHMOND — A state trooper says that he issued a DUI to a 49-year-old Middlesex man who ran him off the road this morning.

Trooper Adam Marchand said he pulled over Troy Polo, who was operating a silver Subaru on Route 117 in Richmond, at around 8:33 a.m.

Marchand said Polo had been speeding and ran him off the road into a parking lot.

According to the report, Polo was operating under the influence and was placed under arrest for DUI.

He was processed at the Williston Barracks and released on a citation to appear in court to answer the charge of DUI.

Police say no collision between vehicles occurred and no injuries were sustained.

No damage was sustained to the trooper’s cruiser as a result of the incident.
