MONTPELIER — A 25-year-old man from New Hampshire was arrested on multiple charges following an incident in Montpelier back in December of 2021.

On December 18, authorities were notified of a disorderly man inside a grocery store located on Stonecutter’s Way who was verbally abusive to store staff at around 11:40 a.m.

Police say the man then exited the store, entered his vehicle, and drove off in a reckless manner, striking a plastic sandwich-board style sign located at the entrance of the store while customers were present exiting the building.

He then drove over a curb and out of the area at a high rate of speed.

After a lengthy investigation, police say they identified the man, but have not released his name.

He was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, unlawful mischief, and negligent operation.
