Teen arrested for making threats against Lamoille Union School

HYDE PARK — Police say an 18-year-old from Stannard has been arrested for making threats against the Lamoille Union School.

At 6:00 p.m. on Monday, the Lamoille County Sheriff’s Department School Resource Officer, along with Lamoille Union campus administration, say they became aware of credible threats made against the Lamoille Union School.

Deputies immediately began an investigation into the threats that had been made through the social media platform Instagram.

As a result of the investigation, deputies identified a suspect and made an arrest today.

Police say Omarion Travis was arrested and will be arraigned on March 30 on the charges of disorderly conduct by electronic device, false public alarms, and criminal threatening.
