Woodstock man charged with firing shotgun into home in Bridgewater

BRIDGEWATER — A 51-year-old from Woodstock is facing multiple charges following an incident in Bridgewater on Sunday.

Authorities were notified of shots fired into a home at around 6:30 p.m.

Police say that David Barnes had been involved in an altercation where he fired a shotgun into the home from the front porch while the two victims were inside.

Police say they located Barnes at a home in Woodstock, where he was taken into custody without incident.

He was cited to appear in court to answer the charges of aggravated domestic assault, aggravated assault with a firearm, recklessly endangering a person, and interference with access to emergency services.

He was held without bail at Southern State Correctional Facility.
