Police looking for driver who fled after causing crash in West Fairlee

FAIRLEE — Police are looking for the driver who fled the scene of an accident in West Fairlee on Friday.

Authorities were notified of a crash into a tree on Wild Hill Road near Jennings Road, at around 9:45 a.m.

According to the report, a vehicle driven by Alexander Robinson, 21, of Sharon, was headed north on Wild Hill prior to the crash.

As Robinson, approached the intersection, a 2017-2019 black Dodge Ram made a left turn on Wild Hill from Jennings Road.

The vehicle’s front passenger side wheel area hit Robinson’s rear driver side wheel.

Robinson told police that he sped up to avoid a collision, but lost control of the vehicle after being hit.

Robinson slid into a ditch and then collided with a tree head-on.

The other vehicle left the scene immediately.
