Single-vehicle crash in Montpelier

MONTPELIER — Police are investigating a single-vehicle crash that took place in Montpelier this month.

The crash took place on Memorial Drive at Dog River Road at around 1:15 p.m.

Police say they located the vehicle facing the wrong direction resting against the guardrail on the exit ramp for Dog River Road.

The occupants were uninjured, had been wearing seatbelts, and were not under the influence.

According to the report, the vehicle involved was traveling eastbound on Memorial Drive when it hit a patch of slush at a bend in the road.

The driver lost control on the slippery road, slid over the median across the opposing lanes of travel, and into the guardrail.

The vehicle was towed from the scene due to disabling damage.
