WASHINGTON — A 24-year-old man from Barre was arrested following an incident in Washington yesterday.

Police say they initiated a traffic stop on Lowery Road for an observed motor vehicle infraction at around 10:40 p.m.

The driver was identified as Eric Eastman.

Police allege that Eastman had consumed alcohol and that his driver’s license was criminally suspended.

Police say Eastman had court-ordered conditions of release not to operate a motor vehicle without a valid driver’s license or to consume alcohol.

He was taken into custody and transported to the Vermont State Police Middlesex barracks for processing.

He was issued a citation to appear in court on January 26 for the charges of violation of conditions of release and criminal DLS.
