Man facing slew of charges after traffic stop in Williamstown

WILLIAMSTOWN — A 31-year-old man from Massachusetts was arrested on multiple charges following an incident in Williamstown yesterday.

Authorities were notified of an unwanted man at a home on Cogswell Road at around 11:20 a.m.

Police say they observed a vehicle matching the description provided by the complainant and initiated a traffic stop.

The driver was identified as Andre Yarns, of Springfield, MA.

Yarns were taken into custody without incident and transported to the Middlesex barracks for processing for the charges of unlawful trespass, operation without owners consent, violation of conditions of release, false report to law enforcement, identity theft, and unlawful trespass.

He was transported to Northwest State Correctional Facility to await his arraignment hearing on Monday.
