POWNAL — A 21-year-old man from North Bennington was cited for negligent operation following a crash in Pownal yesterday.
The single-vehicle crash took place on South Stream Road at around 11:15 p.m
Police say that Matthew Steadman was headed south on South Stream Road at a speed well above the posted limit of 35 miles-per-hour.
Steadman approached a curve in the road and ultimately lost control.
The vehicle left the road and collided with an embankment before.
He was issued a citation to appear in court on Febraury 21 to answer the charge.
