Three-vehicle crash on I-91 in Windsor

WINDSOR — Police responded to a three-vehicle crash in Windsor on Saturday.

The crash took place on I-91 at around 6:20 a.m.

Police say when they arrived a vehicle driven by Lahoussine Akanour, 59, Springfield, MA, was pulled over to the right shoulder of the interstate.

A vehicle driven by Helene Larochelle, 59, of Val De Sources, Quebec, was facing north off the right side of the road, and a vehicle driven by Amy Symonds, 46, of Peterborough, NH, was facing north on the right shoulder.

According to the report, Symonds lost control and spun out before the crash.

Police say Larochelle stopped on the right shoulder approximately 200 yards north of Symonds.

Akanour was headed south before losing control and hit Larochelle in the rear, causing him to go off the road.

Police say nobody was injured as a result of the crash.

Weather conditions at the time of the crash were freezing rain and road conditions were icy.

Interstate 91 south was closed for approximately 30 minutes as the vehicles were removed.

State Police were assisted by R&K Towing, Keene Auto Body, Legendary Auto, and Sabil and Sons.
