Drunk driver crashes into house in Pittsford

PITTSFORD — A 57-year-old man from Vergennes was arrested for DUI following a crash in Pittsford early this morning.

Authorities were notified that a vehicle crashed into a house near the intersection of Furnace Road and Route 7, at around 12:15 a.m.

According to the report, Andrew Brons was headed south on Route 7 when he exited the road and crashed into the house.

During the crash investigation, police say Bron displayed signs of impairment and allege that he was operating the vehicle under the influence of alcohol.

Brons was arrested for suspicion of DUI and transported to the State police barracks in Rutland for processing.

He was released with a citation to answer the charge of DUI.

The house sustained substantial damage but there were no injuries as a result of the crash.

State Police were assisted by Pittsford Fire and Rescue and Regional Ambulance Service.
