RUTLAND — The Rutland City Police Department hosted their annual Shop with a Cop event.
The event is supported by Berkshire Bank, Kiwanis Club of Rutland, Walmart Rutland, Rutland Police Benevolent Association, Rutland PD Union, as well as cash donations.
The efforts were able to sponsor 33 children to shop with local cops for Christmas.
This event gives children and officers a chance to interact in positive and helpful ways.
“We thank everyone for their support to keep the program running,” the department said in a statement.
