Shots fired during road rage incident in Winooski

WINOOSKI — A road rage incident in Winooski ended in gunshots on Sunday.

Police say they received a report of suspected gunshots in the area of East Spring Street at around 5:30 p.m.

Officers responded to the area and located multiple 9mm bullet shell casings near the intersection of East Spring Street and Barlow Street.

Investigators say it was an isolated incident stemming from road rage, and it does not pose an increased risk to the general public.

No one was injured during this altercation.

The suspect was described as a black male wearing black sweatpants and a white and black patterned sweatshirt.

This case remains under investigation.
