Rockingham woman killed in DUI wrong-way crash

WINDSOR — Police are investigating a crash that took the life of a Rockingham woman in Windsor yesterday.

Authorities say they were notified of a vehicle driving erratically on Interstate 91 south at around 4:35 p.m.

The driver was identified as Sarah Love, 34, of Waitsfield.

A short time later it was found that Love turned around and began driving north in the southbound lane.

Police say in the area of mile marker 56, Love collided with Rosemarie Reynolds, 34, of Greenfield, MA, and then a third vehicle.

Police say the third vehicle sustained heavy front-end damage and the driver, identified as Kathleen L. Spence, 59, of Rockingham, was confirmed to be deceased on scene.

According to the report, Love was impaired by alcohol and she was arrested for suspicion of DUI.

She was transported to MT. Ascutney Hospital for a medical evaluation.

Police say the early stages of the investigation indicate Love committed the crimes of grossly negligent operation with death resulting and DUI with death resulting.
