Man facing slew of charges following incident in Rutland

WEST RUTLAND — A 28-year-old man was arrested on multiple charges following an incident in West Rutland on Wednesday.

Authorities were notified of a reported burglary in progress and a family fight at a home located on Barnes Street at around 10:10 p.m.

Police say they located Noel Duprey inside the home when they arrived.

Duprey allegedly had broken into a home he had no privilege or right to be in and committed the offenses of domestic assault and unlawful mischief, “causing a family or household member to fear imminent serious bodily injury and damaging property inside the home,” police say.

Duprey was taken into custody and transported to the State Police barracks in Rutland for processing.

He was lodged at the Marble Valley Regional Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 bail.

He was cited to appear in court to answer to the charges of burglary, 2nd degree aggravated domestic assault, unlawful mischief, offense committed within the presence of a child.
