RUTLAND TOWN — Police are investigating a burglary that occurred in Rutland Town early yesterday.
Authorities were notified of an alarm at the Jiffy Mart on Business Route 4 at around 4:00 a.m.
An undisclosed amount of cigarettes was reported stolen.
Police say that two subjects smashed a window to gain entry, entered the store, smashed a
glass front cabinet to get to the cigarettes and left the store carrying two large black trash bags.
