RUTLAND TOWN — A 41-year-old man from Brandon was cited for leaving the scene of an accident in Rutland on Saturday.
Authorities were notified of a two-vehicle crash where one driver attempted to flee the scene on McKinley Avenue at around 8:50 a.m.
Police say a person who witnessed the crash, followed the at-fault vehicle and made contact with police until they arrived on the scene.
According to the report, Reginald Beede was headed east and Danielle Intagliato, 45, of Rutland City, was headed west before the crash.
Beede crossed into the westbound lane of travel forcing Intagliato slightly off the road.
Beede then swerved and sideswiped Intagliato.
Police say Beede did not stop after striking Intagliato’s vehicle.
Intagliato was transported by Regional Ambulance Service.
