Cumberland Farms in Wallingford robbed

WALLINGFORD — Police are investigating an armed robbery that occurred in Wallingford on Sunday.

The incident took place at the Cumberland Farms located on Main Street at around 11:30 p.m.

Police say no one was injured in the incident.

A man entered the store and grabbed a soda before going to the counter. 

While at the counter, he displayed a knife and demanded the clerk hand over money from the cash drawer. 

Police say the man was wearing a black t-shirt, light colored cargo shorts, dark colored baseball hat with gold/yellow brim, light blue / bandana styled mask, and black shoes with white soles. 

He fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash, the soda, and two packs of cigarettes.
