Police: Driver charged after hitting several mailboxes in Lyndon

LYNDON — A 27-year-old man is facing multiple charges following an incident in Lyndon yesterday.

Police say they received an eyewitness report of a vehicle that struck mailboxes on Pinehurst Street at around 8:00 p.m.

The vehicle was also caught on video surveillance when it hit the mailboxes at a high rate of speed. 

The driver was identified as Robert Guest, of Lyndon. 

Police believe this was a targeted offense. 

Guest was located and police say he denied it happening. 

He was charged for false reports to police along with unlawful mischief and leaving the scene of an accident. 

Police say this incident remains under investigation with more pending charges.
