SHAFTSBURY — A 36-year-old man from Bennington was cited for stealing a dump truck from a home in Shaftsbury last month.
On June 30, authorities were notified that the vehicle was stolen from a home on North Road.
Following an investigation, police allege Andrew Onorato stole the truck from Mark Onorato, 46, of Shaftsbury, and was operating the vehicle without Mark’s consent.
Police say Onorato was located with the dump truck near his home in Bennington.
This week he was issued a citation to appear in court on September 27 and he was released on citation.
State police were assisted by the Bennington Police Department.
