WORCESTER, MA — Vice detectives arrested eight people on drug trafficking charges March 20, 2026, after executing a search warrant at an apartment on Charlton Street.
Detectives had obtained the warrant after receiving numerous complaints of drug dealing and disorderly people at the address at all hours over several weeks.
At approximately 9:45 a.m., vice detectives and members of the Neighborhood Response Team approached the apartment and knocked on the door, announcing “Worcester Police, Search Warrant.”
As detectives announced themselves, the door opened from within and a male later identified as Edwin Semiday attempted to slam the door shut on detectives.
Detectives made their way inside and detained eight occupants.
Evidence of drug distribution was found throughout the apartment, including digital scales, packaging material, cutting agents and drugs packaged for sale.
Detectives recovered approximately 20 grams of fentanyl packaged for sale and 17 grams of crack cocaine.
Joseph Baez, Jasmine Fuentes, Jesus Benitez, Angel Perez, Quazay McClain, Arianna Belcher, Cristalee Gonzalez and Edwin Semiday were arrested and charged with trafficking in Class A fentanyl 18-36 grams and possession of cocaine with intent to distribute.
