Pedestrian struck by vehicle in Linden

LINDEN, NJ — Police are seeking witnesses to a serious crash involving a pedestrian that occurred on U.S. 1 & 9 Northbound near Woodlawn Avenue at approximately 11:42 p.m. Friday.

A 53-year-old Linden man was struck by a white Kia Rio as he attempted to cross U.S. 1 & 9.

The pedestrian suffered serious injuries and was transported to University Hospital, where he remains in stable condition.

The driver, a 46-year-old Elizabeth resident, was not injured and remained at the scene following the collision.
