FALL RIVER, MA — Two men were arrested on firearms charges following a traffic stop near a memorial service on March 14, 2026.
Detectives assigned to the Community Action Strategies Team conducted surveillance in the area of 100 Rock Street during a memorial for a prior homicide victim.
Numerous individuals known to police, including some with prior firearms-related offenses, were observed in attendance.
Detectives had credible information that Richard Douchette, 22, of Fall River, was in possession of a firearm and observed him displaying behavioral characteristics consistent with being armed.
Douchette was seen entering the front passenger seat of a vehicle operated by Alexandro Allen Pinto, 20, of Fall River.
Officers conducted a motor vehicle stop without incident.
Both men were removed from the vehicle and officers conducted a pat-frisk for weapons.
A firearm was located during the frisk.
Both Douchette and Pinto were placed under arrest.
Douchette was charged with carrying a firearm without a license, second offense; carrying a loaded firearm without a license, second offense; possession of a large capacity firearm; and firearm violation with one prior violent or drug crime.
Pinto was charged with carrying a firearm without a license; carrying a loaded firearm without a license; and possession of a large capacity firearm.
