Juvenile arrested in armed robbery, stabbing in East Boston

BOSTON, MA — A 15-year-old juvenile was arrested following a stabbing and attempted robbery in East Boston on Tuesday night.

Officers assigned to District A-7 responded to a radio call for an assault in progress in the area of 11 Paris Street at about 10:01 p.m.

Upon arrival, officers located a male victim suffering from apparent stab wounds.

The victim told police he was attacked by two unknown males wearing ski masks who demanded his personal belongings, including his scooter.

The victim said he refused and the two suspects began to attack him.

The victim said he attempted to flee from the suspects towards Sumner Street.

A witness who observed the altercation exited his vehicle in an effort to help the victim, eventually removing a knife from one of the suspects, which he then discarded.

A second witness said he observed the two suspects making jabbing gestures towards the victim’s body.

The suspects then fled the area.

Officers located two knives wrapped together in duct tape along with a cell phone on the handicap ramp at the intersection of Sumner Street and Paris Street.

After securing the items, officers observed one of the suspects return to the scene, stating he was looking for his cell phone.

The suspect was subsequently identified and taken into custody.

The victim was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

During the booking process, officers located a ski mask among the suspect’s possessions.

The 15-year-old juvenile male of Boston was charged with Aggravated Assault and Armed and Masked Robbery.

The suspect is expected to be arraigned in Suffolk County Juvenile Court.
