Shot fired at vehicle in Thomaston

THOMASTON, CT — Police are investigating a road rage incident in which a driver allegedly fired a shot at another vehicle.

The Thomaston Police Department received a call at approximately 3:30 p.m. March 17, 2026, from a complainant reporting what appeared to be a road rage incident on Waterbury Road.

The complainant stated the other vehicle’s operator fired a shot from the driver’s side window at his vehicle, striking the passenger’s side window and windshield.

The incident took place while both vehicles were traveling south on Waterbury Road.

The complainant was not injured.

The Thomaston Police Department received immediate assistance from Waterbury Police, Plymouth Police, a K-9 unit from Connecticut State Police and a K-9 unit from the Naugatuck Police.
