RANDOLPH, VT — A traffic stop on School Street led to the arrest of a woman wanted on warrants from two states late Monday night.
A trooper from the Vermont State Police Royalton Barracks conducted the traffic stop at approximately 11:33 p.m. Monday for an observed motor vehicle violation.
During the investigation, troopers identified the operator as Amanda J. Gilman, 40, of Braintree.
Gilman had an active extraditable warrant from New Hampshire for a probation violation related to a drug possession conviction.
She also had an active in-state arrest warrant for driving with a criminally suspended license.
Gilman initially provided a false identity to troopers, police said.
Gilman was arrested without incident and processed at the Royalton Barracks.
She was charged with fugitive from justice, violation of an in-state arrest warrant, and false reports to law enforcement.
Gilman was lodged at the Southern State Correctional Facility and held on $15,000 bail.
She is scheduled to appear in Orange Superior Court, Criminal Division, at 12:30 p.m. Tuesday.
