Man arrested on DUI charge in Randolph

RANDOLPH, VT — A South Burlington man was arrested on a drug-related DUI charge following a report of suspicious activity.

On March 17, 2026, at approximately 2:30 p.m., Vermont State Police in Royalton received a report of suspicious activity on Bettis Road.

A trooper located the vehicle and made contact with a male who was in actual physical control of the vehicle.

During the investigation, the trooper detected signs of impairment from the operator, who was identified as Dylan Mercier, 25, of South Burlington.

Mercier was arrested and brought to the Royalton State Police Barracks for processing.

He was released on a citation to appear in Orange County Criminal Court on May 27, 2026, at 8:30 a.m. for driving under the influence.
