BERN TOWNSHIP, PA — A man has been charged with receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy following a traffic stop that led to the discovery of stolen Apple AirPods.
On May 1 at approximately 7 a.m., a Bern Township Police officer conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle pass a school bus with its stop lights activated.
During the stop, the officer observed indicators of impairment consistent with marijuana use.
It was also discovered that the vehicle’s registration plate was displayed on a different vehicle.
The driver was subsequently arrested for driving under the influence.
On May 7, the officer executed a search warrant on the vehicle and recovered a large quantity of Apple AirPods that had been reported stolen from a distribution center.
Serial numbers were compared with the distribution center’s investigation, and surveillance footage confirmed that Alberson Heredia, a passenger in the vehicle at the time of the traffic stop, was involved in the theft.
As a result of the investigation, Heredia has been charged with receiving stolen property and criminal conspiracy, both felonies.
He was taken into custody on Feb. 24, 2026, and is scheduled to appear in court on April 30, 2026, for a disposition hearing.
