Two arrested on drug charges in Houlton

HOULTON, ME — Two men were arrested on drug charges following the execution of a search warrant on Court Street on March 12.

Houlton Police Officer Joshua Foster was dispatched to a routine call for service and obtained information regarding drug activity in the town.

Officer Foster, with the assistance of other Houlton Police Department officers, conducted an investigation before drafting a search warrant.

At approximately 7:53 p.m., Houlton Police officers with the assistance of three Border Patrol units executed the search warrant at the Court Street property.

One individual was on scene at the time of arrival, and a second individual arrived a short time later.

The search included a residence, camper and other outbuildings.

During the search, officers located illegal drugs and cash that were seized as evidence.

Officers seized 66 grams of suspected methamphetamine, 4.06 grams of suspected fentanyl, 247 unsorted pills and $1,501 in cash.

Seth R. Suitter, 35, of Houlton, was charged with unlawful trafficking of methamphetamine, unlawful trafficking in scheduled W drugs, unlawful possession of a firearm by a prohibited person, trafficking in prison contraband, possession of fentanyl powder, and violating conditions of release.

Suitter is being held for conditions of release violation with bail set at $5,000 for additional charges.

Ronald S. Suitter, 68, of Houlton, was charged with unlawful trafficking of methamphetamine, unlawful trafficking in scheduled W drugs, possession of fentanyl powder, and refusing to submit to arrest or detention.

Bail was set at $5,000 cash for Ronald Suitter, who has since been released.
